I recently heard about this awesome photography website called I ♥ Faces. Well on Fridays they have Fix It Friday where they give you a photo that needs improvement & let you play around with it after seeing what other photographers have come up with. A Blog that Inspires Me

I absolutely LOVE The Creative Mama blog by Angie Warren. She is always blogging about things that pretty much every woman can relate too. Of course it doesn't hurt that she shares my passion for photography too. =0) She seems like such a cool woman. I have come across several blogs & thought, man I wish they lived near me, because I think we would be great friends! There are so many incredible women out there that are living life to the fullest. They have the same struggles with balancing their busy schedules & are willing to write about it in hopes that they will inspire someone else to try new things, or to help them get organized or find more time for the things that mean the most to them (their family!). None of them are celebrities or professors, just women like us trying to do everything like they are superwomen. Well guess what? We're not superwomen... Who knew? lol. So, I encourge you to click around blogs, Google a subject that you are interested in and you are bound to come across a blog about it. It is so much fun & completely addictive, but it is good to explore new things & I can tell you that reading these blogs gives me so much inspiration. Be sure to check out The Creative Mama too, you will most likely fall in love.

My First Post

Sorry it’s a long one…

So, this is my first blog post. I decided to start this blog after reading other blogs, and I thought it would be a good way to get on paper (or “put my black on the white” as Jessica with 503 Photography would say) some things that were going through my mind. I fully intend on this being completely random as I suspect most blogs are. My mind wanders a good bit & bounces from subject to subject & quite often has multiple things going through it at the same time. I’m not crazy, really! LOL! I’m just busy. I think this will be a nice outlet for me, so if you want to read please do & feel free to comment back too. I hope you will find this blog a comforting one as I’m sure you will be able to relate to some of the things I might write about. Also, being a lover of photography & having a photography business, you will probably be seeing photos & other posts on this subject as well. I hope you enjoy! Now to my “vent” for the day…

Just about a week ago cleaned out under my bathroom cabinets & threw out all of the old make-up that for some reason I have kept (some of it for years!), because I tried it & didn’t like the color or I thought I’d use it for special occasions, etc. (if you know me you know that I don’t wear much make-up anyway so the fact that I had enough to fill almost and entire grocery bag is insane.) Anyway, I decided to get a few new things so I placed an order with my friend Kelly who sells Avon. I love Avon and have been using a lot of their skin care products & some make-up for several years now. I’m not exclusively an Avon user, but I have really liked everything I have tried. Again, if you know me you know how cheap I am (as in I don’t do debt & I’m a complete bargain hunter). I decided to purchase a set of eye shadow that cost $9! That is a big step for me I usually pay $0.99 - $2.99 (maybe) for something like eye shadow. I thought, well I’m helping a friend out by purchasing it, it does have 3 colors & it says “NO CREASE” on it. HA! Yeah right. I have never worn an eye shadow that didn’t crease. I thought I would give Jillian Dempsey the benefit of the doubt… Well at 10:30 this morning I looked in the mirror & guess what? Yep, I have a crease! Oh well, it is still a nice set of colors & I will continue to wear it but dang! $9 & it doesn’t do anything extra special for me?

On another note, don’t you just hate when you are wearing pants with strapy sandals & the bottom of your pants keeps slipping its way between your heel & the sandal? AHHH it’s driving me crazy today!
